Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, mix sugar, yeast, and warm milk (not hot) and whisk until incorporated. Cover with a cloth and let it bloom for 10 minutes (in a warm environment).





Step 2
In a large bowl, mix butter and egg with a spatula lightly (not completely incorporated). Add dry ingredients (remember to sift) and sultanas and stir with a spatula until combined. Let it rise for 20 minutes (not covered but in a warm environment).









Step 3
Flour a flat surface, pour the dough out, and knead for 10 minutes with the butter. Form a circle with the dough and place it in a large, lightly oiled bowl.


Step 4
Cover with cling wrap and rest for 1 hour in a warm environment.

Step 5
Spray a square baking tray (around 20x4cm) with oil spray and line with baking paper.



Step 6
Flour a flat surface, pour the dough out and divide the dough into an even amount of pieces and sizes. Roll the pieces into balls and place them in the tray (slightly touching eachother).
Step 7
Cover with cling wrap and rest for 30 minutes in a warm environment.

Step 8
Preheat oven to 180°c

Step 9
Brush the tops with egg wash. Bake for 20 minutes (adjust times depending on your oven) and rotate the tray when 10 minutes pass.


Step 10
Take it out of the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
Step 11
Add toppings of your choice.
