BBQ Whiskey Glazed Oyster Mushroom Burger

Instructions

The Mushrooms

Step 1
Preheat sunflower oil to 180C
Step 2
Add the yogurt, milk, lemon juice, and 1/3 tsp salt so a bowl and stir through

Mix the flour, salt, and spices into another large bowl

Separate the oyster mushrooms into 4 large clumps
Step 5
Dip the mushrooms into the liquid mix the into the flour, then into the liquid and then flour again, making sure it gets a thorough coating on each dip
Step 6
Once coated, fry the mushrooms at 180C for 5-6 minutes to a dark golden brown

Heat the bbq sauce, soy sauce, and white wine vinegar together in a pan til it starts to bubble. Pour in the whiskey and set on fire with a lighter. Stir the sauce until the flame is gone. Add in your fried oyster mushrooms and toss in the sauce to coat

The Rest

Finely slice your onion and cabbage and grate the carrot

Add your Mayo, cream, mustard, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to your liking and stir thoroughly to make the slaw

Toast your burger buns and slice your Chillies/other toppings and load them up and enjoy!
