Instructions

Form the dough into a ball and split it into 2 equal portions. Add the food colouring to 1/2 of the dough and knead for 5-10 mins until well combined.

Place both doughs in 2 separate greased bowls. Cover with plastic film and let them rise in a warm environment for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Once risen, punch the gas out of both doughs. Set the white dough aside and keep it covered so it doesn’t dry out while we shape the coloured dough.

Split the coloured dough into 2 pieces. Roll out each piece into an oval shape then use the palm of your hands to roll it forward.

Grease the bread mold with oil and place both pieces of the coloured dough onto the left and right side. Push them down gently to make sure that the ears are properly filled in. (the cat bread mold is from amazon. Go to the link in my whisk bio)

Grab the white dough and stretch it out slightly. Place it on top of the coloured dough. Cover the mold with plastic film and proof for 40-60 mins until doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 375F and adjust the rack to the middle. The ears should be facing down when you place the mold into the oven. Bake for 25 mins.

Once the loaf is at room temperature, slice into 6 pieces.

In a bowl, microwave some chocolate. Allow it to cool down for a few seconds before placing it inside of a piping bag and cut the tip off. Use it to draw the eyes, moth, and whiskers.
