Ginger Beef Stir-Fry with Snappy Asparagus

Instructions

Step 1
Bring 1½ cups water & pinch of salt to boil in sm. pot. Add rice to pot, cover, & reduce to simmer. Cook(15-20 min.) tender. Remove from heat & keep covered.
Step 2
Meanwhile, whisk together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, 1 Tbsp water, & 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce in sm. bowl.
Step 3
Heat drizzle of oil in lg. pan over med.-high. Pat steak tips dry with paper towel, then season with salt/pepper. Add to pan; toss until nearly cooked to desired doneness (2-3 min.) Remove from pan & set aside. .
Step 4
Add asparagus & scallions to same pan over med. (If veggies seem dry, add drizzle of oil.) Cook (3-4 min.) until tender but still crunchy, tossing occasionally. Add steak tips & sauce to pan; cook (2-3 min.) until sauce is thickened & meat reaches desired doneness. Season with salt/pepper.
Step 5
Fluff rice with a fork. Divide between plates, top with stir-fry, & garnish with sesame seeds.
