Instructions

Step 1
Preheat iron In mixing bowl combine wet ingredients: the egg yolks, milk and oil. Stir. Add baking powder, salt and flower. Using a whisk combine well but don’t over beat. Batter should still be somewhat lumpy. If too thin can add a little more flower; if too thick can add a little more milk. Using a beater whip the egg whites until very stiff then gently fold them into the batter. (You probably already know this but when you separate the eggs if any part of the yolk gets into the egg whites they will not stiffen properly.) In my iron it takes 4 mins to get a properly brown waffle but you’ll have to experiment with your iron.
