Instructions
Step 1
Over medium heat add one tbsp olive oil and sauté diced onion until tender
Step 2
Add in Italian sausage and break up into smaller pieces
Step 3
Once sausage is cooked add garlic and sauté for about a minute
Step 4
Drain excess grease from pan
Step 5
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Step 6
Boil pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain pasta
Step 7
Add heavy whipping cream to sauce and mix well, simmer a few minutes
Step 8
Add parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water, mixing well
Step 9
Add sauce over pasta and enjoy!
