Instructions
Step 1
· Mix all dry ingredients together. Stir eggs into buttermilk and add to dry mixture.
Step 2
· Melt butter inside heavy iron skillet. Coat a skillet with butter on all sides. Pour remaining butter from skillet into cornbread batter and mix thoroughly
Step 3
· Cook bacon in skillet until crisp. Crumble bacon into small pieces and mix into the batter.
Step 4
· Pour the cornbread batter into hot skillet and bake in a 375° oven. Cook bread until crust is golden brown (~ 25-30 min).
