• Fresh Parmesan is a must! Pre-shredded cheese has a coating on it which prevents it from fully melting. Parmesan blocks can usually be found by the deli counter at Walmart.

Instructions

Step 1
Place water, generous amount of salt, and olive oil into a pot and bring to a rolling boil.
Step 2
Place your noodles in the pot and cook until al-dente. Your noodles should be soft but harm a slight firmness in the middle. If you overcook them, they become sticky and mushy. When they are done, drain and drizzle with olive oil.
Step 3
In a pan set to medium heat, add your butter and melt completely and sauté your garlic.
Step 4
Very slowly add in all of the heavy cream while continuously mixing and then add in all of your seasonings. Continue to cook, while mixing until it starts to boil slightly.
Step 5
Using 3/4 of you Parmesan add very small amounts to your cream mixture while continuing to mix. Let each small amount completely melt before adding more. Save 1/4 of your cheese.
Step 6
Once your cheese has fully melted, mix in your shredded chicken. After that, you are done! Add small amounts of noodles to your sauce at a time and fully coat, and then add more!
