Instructions
Step 1
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 2
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown chicken in oil.
Step 3
Stir in the onion, garlic and jalapeno; cook 2 minutes or until chicken is browned

Transfer to slow cooker
Step 5
In a small bowl, mash 1 cup of beans; add 1/2 cup broth and stir until blended.
Step 6
Add to the slow cooker with the remaining beans and broth.
Step 7
Cover and cook on low for 3 to 3-1/2 hours or until chicken is tender.
Step 8
Stir before serving.
Step 9
Sprinkle with cheese.
Step 10
Garnish with sour cream if desired.
