Instructions

Step 1
Peel & dice turnip and divide in half, put half in a pan.
Step 2
Place diced steak in a separate pan and brown, then add in the remaining turnip.
Step 3
Peel & dice the butternut squash and again divide in half, and again place half in the pan and the rest in the pan with the beef.
Step 4
Add boiled water to the vegetables in the pan and boil until tender.
Step 5
Add the garlic, tomato purée, Worcestershire sauce, beef stock and smoked paprika to the beef and mix well.
Step 6
Pressure cook this stew for 40 minutes, but you could also slow cook on low for 8 hours, or oven cook for 1 hour
Step 7
Next mash the turnip and squash mix, and season to taste. Serve the stew with the mashed veg and peas. . If you have room in your budget you could add potatoes for €1 and you could of course swap the peas for other green veg and add to the stew. . . . . . .
