Growing up my Abuela, she would always make me this sopita de fideo. Whether it was 100° outside or I was just feeling very sick. It’s a simple and delicious recipe.

Instructions

Step 1
Start of with boiling your chicken breast in a large pan. (you can add a little bit of salt and 2 garlice cloves to give the chicken more flavor
Step 2
Once the chicken is fully cooked, pull them out from the pot and make sure to keep the broth! That’ll make for your soup base.
Step 3
For your sauce add all of the ingredients instructed above in your blender for 2 minutes.
Step 4
While your sauce is blending, start shredding your chicken breast with 2 forks into thin pieces.
Step 5
In a flat pan, drizzle approximately 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil and bring it to a medium heat
Step 6
Throw in your Fideo noodles and move it around the oil until their crispy dark brown and pull out of the pan.
Step 7
Add your Sauce into the pan with the chicken broth and let it boil for 3 minutes
Step 8
Add your pan fried Fideo soup and shredded chicken and let it simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Add a little bit of lime to your taste once you serve and I always love to eat my Sopita de Fideo with some warm tortillas.
