Instructions

Step 1
In a large pot, on medium heat, start toasting your oats for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
After the oats have been slightly toasted, add 1 and a half cups of water. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until the desired consistency is reached. I like my oats creamy, but with some structural integrity still there. Add some more water gradually if you need to.
Step 3
Flavor your oats: add the miso paste, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onion. Stir until thoroughly incorporated.
Step 4
Serve in a bowl. Top with a crispy sunny side-up egg, and finish with some green onion. Optionally add more soy sauce and some sesame seeds.
