1 poundItalian sausage links
cut into 1/2 inch slices

1onion
medium, chopped

0.5sweet red pepper
medium, cut into thin strips

0.5green pepper
medium, cut into thin strips

1garlic clove
minced

1 teaspoonfennel seed

¼ teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes

¼ teaspoonsalt

¼ teaspoonpepper

3plum tomatoes
chopped

3 tablespoonsheavy whipping cream
Instructions
Step 1
Cook linguine according to package directions
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion, red pepper and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain
Step 3
Add the garlic, fennel, salt, pepper flakes, and pepper; cook 1 minute longer
Step 4
Stir in the tomatoes and cream; heat through
Step 5
Drain linguine; serve with sausage mixture
