Banana Nutmeg [SSC]
"With the right flavor combinations, you can hide basically anything in a smoothie," I flaunted to a friend while writing this book. My friend looked at me inquisitively. "Anything?" she asked. "Sure." I nodded. She looked at me, raised an eyebrow dramatically, and replied, "What about...Brussels sprouts?" I paused. I didn't know about blending Brussels sprouts. That sounded pretty gross. "Oh sure, even Brussels sprouts. Definitely," I mumbled with feigned nonchalance. "Well, let's see a recipe for it then," she said smugly. Not one to back down from a challenge, I agreed. It took nine tries, many terrible faces, and utilized just about every smoothie trick in the book, but this stealth smoothie is actually quite delicious. So, yes, even Brussels sprouts. Definitely.
