diced
2carrots
medium, diced
2cloves garlic
minced
¾ cupflour
4 cupschicken broth
5 ½ cupshalf and half
12 ozbeer honey
2 tspsalt
½ tsppepper
1 tablespoondijon mustard
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
1 tsphorseradish
½ tspcayenne
or red pepper flakes, optional
½ tspThyme
bay leaf
sugar
to taste
4 cupsshredded Cheddar cheese
white cheddar works too
Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter
Step 2
Add onion, celery, carrot, and garlic and cook for 10 minutes
Step 3
Add flour cook 1 minute
Step 4
Add everything else except cheese and cook for 30 minutes
Step 5
Add cheese
Step 6
Serve with fresh bread
