Ingredients
3 servings
3 Tbsplow sodium soy sauce
5 Tbspcornstarch
divided in half
1egg white
1.5chicken breast
cut into bite sized pieces
3 tspsesame oil
1 Tbspginger minced
2cloves garlic
minced
2green onions
sliced
¾ cupchicken bone broth
low sodium
¾ tspsiracha
2.5 TbspHoisin sauce
2 ½ tspsesame seeds
3 cupsgreen beans
steamed, on the side, optional
2 ¼ cupbrown rice
cooked, on the side, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Mix 1 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch, and egg white in a bowl. Cut your chicken into bite sized pieces and place into the bowl, mix to coat. Set aside.
Step 2
Heat 3/4 tsp sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium- high heat. Add chicken and cook until brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Stir-fry until cooked through. Transfer chicken out of pan and set aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, heat 2 1/4 tsp sesame oil over medium heat. Add in the garlic, ginger, and green onions and stir fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix broth, 1 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce, sriracha, hoisin sauce, and remaining cornstarch. Add to the pan and stir to combine. Cook until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 5
Return chicken to pan and stir to combine with the sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Optional to serve over steamed green beans and brown rice. Enjoy!
