2 Tbspteriyaki sauce
1 tspbrowning sauce
0.5 cubechicken bouillon
3 tspsugar
½ Tbspsesame oil
1 tsppepper
1 Tbspcornstarch
3 Tbspwater
Veggie Mix
Instructions
Step 1
Thinly slice two pounds of flank steak against the grain for a more tender bite- Mix marinade ingredients together and massage into beef for a minute or two then set aside to come to temp (about 15-30 mins) I marinated my steak in a glass casserole dish for even dispersing
Step 2
Slice bell peppers and onions and set aside in a bowl while heating up butter and evoo. Sauté on med/high heat for 10/15 minutes.
Step 3
Mix together 3 tbsp of water and 1 tbsp of flour in a separate cup or bowl and set aside for later. Mix together other sauce ingredients in another separate cup (pls be sure NOT to add the flour and 3 tbsp of water to the sauce) keep them separate for now.
Step 4
After peppers are done sautéing, move them to another bowl and leave uncovered (keeps them from getting soggy). Turn the heat to high and add 1/2 tbsp of oil and place slice meat into pan and press down to get a nice color/sauté on one side. After about 4-5 minutes liquids should start to release, crank the heat back down to med/high and let cook through (until liquid is cooked off)
Step 5
Get your rice started once the meat is almost done cooking through. I start by turning the stove on high without anything in the pot for my rice, then I dump in my rice to add a bit of toasty flavor (do not add the butter yet, just the rice) then hot water, seasonings and half knorr chicken bouillon cube. add the butter after you dissolve the the bouillon cube. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover with a lid and turn the heat down to simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes if using basmati rice.
Step 6
Once steak is thoroughly cooked, add the peppers and onions back in sautéing together for 3/4 minutes.
Step 7
Add in sauce mixture and cook on low until sauce reduces by half, then add water/flour mixture to thicken up the sauce.
Step 8
Your rice should be done by now, so go ahead and fluff that w/ a fork and serve with beef and peppers on top.
