Instructions
Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

2. Pulse the onion, parsley and jalapeño in a food processor until very finely chopped. (These can also be hand chopped if you don't have a food processor.)
Step 3
3. In a bowl, add the onion, jalapeño and parsley mixture with the ground beef, pine nuts, pepper, seven spice, allspice and salt. Mix well and form 3- to 4-inch (8- to 10-cm) mini-kebab logs. Assemble them with ½ inch (1.3 cm) of spacing between them on the baking sheet.

4. Bake for 15 minutes, or until cooked to your liking. Serve with a tangy chopped salad, hummus and pita bread.
Note
Step 5
If cooking on a grill soak the wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Form the kebabs around the skewers, and then add them to the hot grill over medium heat. Once the bottom side has firmed up after about 4 minutes, rotate the kebabs and cook the other side through for another 4 to 5 minutes.
