Step 1
Heat a large pot over medium heat, add butter. Add onion, mushrooms, garlic, thyme, and saute until softened. Add salt and pepper.
Step 2
Sprinkle flour into the vegetable, and coat them with flour.
Step 3
Add chicken broth. Bring to simmer.
Step 4
Add milk and bring to simmer, stirring consistently.
Step 5
Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, often stirring for about 10 minutes. Taste, and add more salt if you desire.
