Instructions

Meatballs

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375F (190C) degrees
Step 2
Mix ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, garlic, and egg in a medium bowl.
Step 3
Combine parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well mixed.
Step 4
Add dry ingredients to meat mixture and knead with your hands until fully combined.
Step 5
Form the mixture into the desired number balls and place them on a baking sheet. I usually make 12 meatballs but some may find it preferable to make either 8 2 oz meatballs or 16 1 oz meatballs.
Step 6
Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes or until done. Remove the tray from the oven and allow the meatballs to cool slightly.

Pasta and Sauce

Step 7
In a large pot, boil water for cooking spaghetti. Optionally, add a dash of salt and/or a splash of olive oil to the water.
Step 8
While waiting for the water to boil, place meatballs in a pot or large sauce pan and pour sauce over them. Heat the meatballs and sauce over medium-low heat.
Step 9
Add dry spaghetti to the pot of boiling water and cook until the spaghetti is flexible yet firm to the bite (al dente).
Step 10
Drain the water from spaghetti using a strainer or colander
Step 11
Serve spaghetti topped with sauce and meatballs.
