3 Tbspolive oil
2 Tbsplemon juice
2cloves garlic
pressed
1 tspdried mint
1 tsporegano
½ tspblack pepper
¼ tspsalt
1 lbsirloin steak
think cut and sliced into strips
¾ cupbeef broth
for pressure cooker version only
4whole wheat pita bread
½ cupqueso fresco
or feta
shredded lettuce
1tomato
diced
1cucumber
diced
⅛ tspdried mint
Cesar salad dressing
or cucumber
Instructions
Step 1
Slow cooker: mix oil, lemon, garlic, mint oregano, salt and pepper together in small bowl. Use a fork or whisk to combine. Place steak in slow cooker. Pour dressing over steak and mix to coat. Cook on high 6 hours, or low 8 hours. Then stir together cucumber, yogurt, and mint to make sauce. Serve meat in pita bread, with lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, topped with cucumber sauce.
Step 2
Pressure Cooker: add beef broth to cooker, place meat in broth. Whisk together oil, lemon, garlic, mint, oregano, salt and pepper then pour over meat.
Step 3
cook on high pressure 15 minutes and do a quick pressure release. Then stir together cucumber, yogurt, and mint to make sauce. Serve meat in pita bread, with lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, topped with Cesar or cucumber sauce.
