1.5 lbsground turkey
a pork and beef mix can be substituted
1egg
½ cupbread crumbs
½ tspsalt
½ tsponion powder
¼ tspallspice
¼ tspblack pepper
gravy
0.5onion
roughly chopped, optional
1 ½ Tbspbutter
½ cupmilk
⅛ cupflour
½ tspsalt
umami mushroom powder
optional
¼ tspblack pepper
2 cupsbeef broth
lingonberry jam
mashed potatoes
green beans
Instructions
Step 1
MEATBALLS
Step 2
1. Combine the meat, seasoning, bread crumbs, and egg in a big bowl.
Step 3
2. Form meatballs - I make mine about 1.2 - 2 tablespoons sized
Step 4
3. Heat vegetable oil
Step 5
4. Cook evenly on all sides, temp. should be 165 F.

GRAVY

1. Remove cooked meatballs from pan

2. Melt the butter with the onions on medium heat
Step 9
3. Add broth and milk, stirring and lightly scraping the fond off of the bottom of the pan
Step 10
4. When gravy bubbles slowly stir in the flour

5. Add spices
Step 12
6. Heat the meatballs and blanched green beans in the gravy
Step 13
7. Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans and a dollop of Lingonberry jam.
