Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 deg Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Boil shells for 9 minutes. Rinse with cold water to cool and lay out individually on a sheet pan to keep them from sticking together.
Step 3
Mix together ricotta, marscapone, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup parmesan, Italian seasoning, herbs, salt and pepper. Filling will be very loose. You can refrigerate it to thicken it up a bit, but will still be quite loose.
Step 4
Spread 1/2 cup marinara in bottom of 9x13 casserole dish.
Step 5
Use a spoon to stuff filling into each shell and place them in the dish with the open side up.
Step 6
Spoon the remaining 1 cup of marinara over the center of each stuffed shell.
Step 7
Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and parmesan over the stuffed shells.
Step 8
Cover with foil and bake at 400 for 30 minutes.
Step 9
Uncover and broil for 4-5 minutes.
