Instructions

Step 1
In a deep pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking into small pieces as you cook. Drain fat.
Step 2
Add garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and onion flakes. Stir until well combined.
Step 3
Add spaghetti sauce. Stir to combine with meat. Cover pot. Simmer until heated through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Step 4
In a medium sized bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 c parmesan cheese, lightly beaten eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy. Add basil, stirring gently.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Step 6
Spread 1/4 - 1/2c of sauce in a 9x13 glass baking dish
Step 7
Place 3 noodles side by side on top of the sauce
Step 8
Drop 3 heaping tablespoons of cheese mixture onto each noodle. Spread cheese to cover each noodle by pressing each blob flat with a spoon

Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella over noodle layer
Step 10
Pour 1.25 cups of sauce evenly over the cheeses
Step 11
Repeat layering of noodles, ricotta mix, mozzarella, and sauce two more times
Step 12
Place 3 remaining noodles on top of sauce
Step 13
Spread remaining sauce over noodles, sprinkle with remaining cup of mozzarella over sauce, then sprinkle remaining 1/4c parmesan cheese over everything
Step 14
Lightly cover dish with nonstick foil. Place in oven. Bake 15 min. Remove foil and return to oven. Bake until cheese is spotty brown and sauce is bubbling, about 25-30min.

Cool for 10 min before cutting and serving
