600gskinless chicken breast
cut in bite size
1 cupwhole cashews
I used the specially selected deluxe brand by
½ cupbell peppers
cut in strips
1 teaspoondried ginger
3cloves garlic
minced
1 cupcornflour
1 teaspoonkosher salt
1 teaspoonground black pepper
⅓ cupgreen onions
chopped
6 tablespoonvegetable oil
more if needed
½ cuphoney
⅓ cuphoisin sauce
¼ cupwhite wine vinegar
2 tablespoonworcestershire sauce
½ cupwater
Instructions
Step 1
Cut chicken into bite size chunks
Step 2
Coat the chicken with the corn flour salt and black pepper,just before frying.
Step 3
Fry the chicken until golden you may have to do this in two batches.
Step 4
Add the cashews,bell peppers and green onions with more oil if required.
Step 5
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and water.
Step 6
Add the sauce to the chicken, combine. The longer you leave the sauce in the pan the more soggy the chicken will become.
Step 7
serve with rice or noddles
