Instructions
Step 1
Cut fresh swiss chard into 2-3 inches across small pieces (including the stalk), separate stalks from the leaves, set aside.
Step 2
Prepare and dice garlic, slice bacon into small pieces, set aside.
Step 3
Heat up cooking oil in a skillet, add in sliced bacon, and cook until golden brown and semi-crispy.
Step 4
Further add in minced garlic until aromatic, quickly throw in sliced swiss chard stalks first to cook ( as stalk takes longer to cook compared to the leaves) for a minute, further add in sliced swiss chard leaves, stir and mix everything in until it becomes soft and still bright green. Quickly season it with some salt to taste, sugar and black pepper powder. Plate immediately and serve warm with rice if needed.
