Instructions
Step 1
Combine sugar, beaten eggs and butter in electric frying pan (medium heat). Stir and cook a few minutes (2-3).
Step 2
Add dates and cook 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add flour and cook until thick.
Step 4
Turn off heat, add salt, vanilla, nuts, and rice krispies, in that order.
Step 5
Form into strawberries and roll in red sugar.
Step 6
Put on purchased stem and leaf, or cut leaf from green paper and use green toothpick for stem. Yields about 100 cookies and takes two hours to form. I usually keep the frying pan on low heat as I form the strawberries. (Joleene Kolenburg)
