World's Best Banana Bread

Quite literally the most amazing banana bread you will ever make! I'm lactose intolerant, so instead of buttermilk, I combine lactose-free milk with lemon juice. I use the juice of 1/2 lemon for each 1/4 cup of milk. I prefer to use a glass 8x8 dish for a single batch or a 9x13 for a double batch to bake the bread in. With loaf pans, I routinely end up with burnt edges in order to cook it all the way through.

Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.

3. In a separate bowl, combine mashed bananas and buttermilk.
Step 4
4. Add dry ingredients to a separate bowl and whisk to combine.
Step 5
5. Combine and mix all ingredients until just mixed.
Step 6
6. Pour into greased pan and sprinkle top with brown sugar. Bake for around 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
