Ingredients
4 servings
1 tablespoonextra-virgin olive oil
450gboneless skinless chicken breasts
cut into 1′′ cubes
1onion
chopped
5cloves garlic
minced
1 tablespoonginger
freshly minced
½ teaspoonground turmeric
2 teaspoonground cumin
2 teaspoonpaprika
2 teaspoongaram masala
1 teaspooncayenne pepper
1can crushed tomatoes
½ cupwater
to be added after tomatoes
¼ cupheavy cream
kosher salt
cilantro
freshly chopped, for garnish

or naan, for serving
Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add chicken, salt, pepper and cook, flipping once, until golden and no longer pink, 8 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
Step 2
Add onion to skillet and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, ginger, and spices and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add tomatoes, water and simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add heavy cream and chicken and simmer until warmed through, 5 minutes more. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
Step 4
Garnish with cilantro and serve alongside rice or naan, if using.
