Instructions

Step 1
Heat a 12-inch skillet over high heat and add olive oil. Add the onion, peppers. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until vegetables are soft.
Step 2
Add the sausage and cook for another 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer the sausage/pepper mixture to a bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Lower the heat to medium, add tomatoes, wine, tomato paste, thyme, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer for ~15 minutes.
Step 4
Add the shrimp and cook until shrimp are opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Add the sausage/pepper mixture back to the pan and stir. Serve over rice.
