1 lblump crab meat
picked over for shells

½ cupbreadcrumbs

¼ cupmayonnaise

¼ cupscallions

¼ cupred bell pepper

large, lightly beaten

1 teaspoonseasoning

Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, scallions, red bell pepper, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Gently mix everything together until well combined.
Step 2
Use your hands to form the mixture into 8-10 crab cakes, each about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick.
Step 3
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Once the skillet is hot, add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook them for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and heated through on the inside.
Step 5
Serve the crab cakes hot with your favorite dipping sauce and a squeeze of lemon juice, if desired.
