Instructions
Step 1
Cook the pasta adding the broccoli to cook with the pasta for the final 2-3 minutes, until just tender.
Step 2
Meanwhile, melt the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute before slowly adding the milk over a medium heat whisking constantly until smooth and thickened to a roux.
Step 3
Continue to cook the roux for a further 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until it has thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon. Stir in half of the cheese until melted, then season, to taste, with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Step 4
Preheat the grill to its highest setting.
Step 5
Drain the pasta and broccoli in a large colander and transfer to an oven proof dish, Flake the tuna on top.
Step 6
Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta mixture and top with the sliced tomatoes, Sprinkle over the remaining cheese.
Step 7
Place the pasta bake under the hot grill for 4-5 minutes, until the cheese melts and starts to turn golden-brown. Serve with bread and butter.
