Instructions
Step 1
Place a medium pot on medium heat
Step 2
Add 1 cup of water, chickpeas (strained and rinsed) and allow to cook covered for 10 mins
Step 3
Add tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, dates to a blender
Step 4
Add curry, garam masala, cumin, paprika, turmeric, black peppercorns, coconut milk powder, red chillies, and water to blender
Step 5
Blend until the ingredients are smooth and add to pot.
Step 6
Add 1/4 cup water to blender to capture any leftover and add to pot
Step 7
Reduce heat to low, mix well and let simmer for 10 mins
Step 8
Garnish with fresh or dried cilantro
