Yale Chilli
An alternative to a hot chilli. This is much sweeter and we usually eat it with French bread, which we dip in.

Ingredients
4 servings
3 Tbsoil
1onion
large, chopped
2celery stalks
chopped
1green pepper
cored, seeded and chopped
2garlic cloves
crushed
2 Tbsalmonds
slivered
½ tspnutmeg
grated
1kgminced beef
14 ozcanned tomatoes
1 tsphot chilli powder
14 ozcanned red kidney beans
drained
2cooking apples
medium, peeled, cored and chopped
50gdried pitted prunes
chopped
1 cupfrozen green beans
chopped
150gtomato puree
Instructions
Step 1
Heat the oil in a saucepan.
Step 2
Add the onion, celery, pepper and garlic and fry until the onion is softened.
Step 3
Stir in the beef and fry until it loses its pinkness.
Step 4
Stir in the remaining ingredients with salt to taste and bring to the boil.
Step 5
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Uncover the pan and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
Step 7
Serve hot.
