Step 1
Cut bacon into small pieces and cook.
Step 2
Boil potatoes until soft. Add salt to water and if desired, add small amount of bacon and drippings into water while boiling for added flavor. Drain.
Step 3
Add chicken broth and mash potatoes.
Step 4
Add milk to desired consistency.
Step 5
Heat soup and serve with bacon bits, grated cheese, salt, and pepper, etc.
