Instructions

Step 1
In a pressure cooker (if you don't have one that's fine you'll just need to cook the meat longer to tenderize), add cooking oil and let it get hot. Place meat on hot oil to brown.
Step 2
Add onions, garlic, spiced and tomato paste to the meat and mix in until aromatic.
Step 3
Add water until the meat is covered and pressure cook on high for 30 minutes.
Step 4
While the meat is cooking, prepare meatballs by mixing all ingredients listed under meatballs.
Step 5
Shape them into roughly 1-2 inch size balls and place them in the meat pot.
Step 6
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas and add them in.
Step 7
Cover the pot and let the meatballs simmer on medium heat in the stew for 15 minutes. Once they are fully cooked, plate and garnish with a few drops of lemon juice.
Step 8
Enjoy with fresh bread of choice!
