Instructions
Step 1
Soak lentils in cold water for at least 3 hours.
Step 2
Grate onions. Grate tomatoes.
Step 3
Crush 3 garlics. Leave 3 garlics whole.
Step 4
Add all the ingredients into a pot including the spices and oil. Then add the cold water.
Step 5
Bring water to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cook for 30 mins.
Step 6
Make sure to check the water towards the end as it might evaporate. Add hot water if needed.
Step 7
Parsley at the end if desired.
