Asparagus Quiche Recipe

Instructions

Step 1
Pastry: In a food processor add the flour and salt and cheese and mix until fine crumbs next chop in the margarine and mix until ball forms;
Step 2
Press into a 26cm fluted dish and prick the bottom of dish with fork.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 160°c
Step 4
Basic Filling: Mix the eggs, milk and salt and pepper with a whisk and set aside.
Step 5
Add the asparagus, spring onion and cheese and seasoning onto pastry spreading out evenly.
Step 6
(Remember these ingredients can be varied as desired)
Step 7
Pour Basic Egg filling over the asparagus and cheese.
Step 8
Sprinkle top lightly with Cayenne Pepper
Step 9
Bake in middle of oven for 45 minutes or until set and lightly browned; let rest a few minutes before serving.
Step 10
(Optional) “Please note that Crab sticks and asparagus go well together in a quiche”.
