Steamed stuffed tofu with shrimp

We love tofu dishes in this household! What about you guys? 🍤 STEAMED STUFFED TOFU (蒸釀豆腐) 1 box of tofu (17 oz) 4 oz of shrimp 1 oz of fatty pork 1 stalk of scallions SHRIMP SEASONING 1/6 tsp of salt 1/4 tsp of soy sauce 1/2 tsp of wine 1/4 tsp of white pepper 1/2 tbsp water 1 tsp of corn starch SAUCE 3 tbsp of soy sauce 1/2 tbsp of oyster sauce 2 tsp of XO sauce 1 tbsp of water 1/2 tsp of minced garlic 1/2 tsp of corn starch slurry 🍤 INSTRUCTIONS 1. FILLING: Chop up shrimp until it turns into a paste. Chop up fatty pork. Mix In the seasonings. 2. Cut scallions and put aside. Cut up the block of tofu into 8 pieces. 3. Scoop out some tofu for the shrimp filling. 4. Sprinkle corn starch. Corn starch acts as a binding substance and helps the shrimp filling stick to the tofu. 5. Stuff the filling in and transfer to a shallow bowl. 6. Steam for 8-10 minutes or until cooked. 7. SAUCE: Fry minced garlic. Add all the seasonings until it simmers and thickens up. 8. Pour over the tofu. Sprinkle scallions. 9. Enjoy with rice 🍚
