Instructions
Step 1
Mix baking powder, baking soda and cold milk together until fully combined.
Step 2
Add salt and cooking oil in all purpose flour, further add in mixed milk, knead flour until if forms into a smooth dough, let sit for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Separate the dough into half, roll the half dough out with a rolling pin, flat it out into a long and rectangle shaped pancake. Brush the pancake with a thin layer of cooking oil, store in fridge over night.
Step 4
Remove the pancake dough from the fridge, roll it out again with a rolling pin, let it sit for 10 minutes before cutting the dough into small even and long dough strips. Simply put one dough strip on top of another, and push it down onto the center of dough strip gently with a chopstick, repeat with the remaining dough strips.
Step 5
Heat up adequate amount of cooking oil in a pot, once it gets to the right temperature, simply pull the dough strip side way and put it in heated oil gently to deep fry. Flip regularly with chopsticks. Only work with small batch at a time to keep them from sticking.
Step 6
Once dough stick gets golden brown, remove from the oil to drain, Serve warm with soymilk immediately.
