3 cupsflour
¼ teaspoonsoda
⅛ teaspoonsalt
2 sticksbutter
3 cupssugar
4eggs
separated
1 teaspoonvanilla
1 teaspoonlemon flavoring
or almond
1 cupsour cream

Instructions
Step 1
Sift flour, soda and salt together, set aside.
Step 2
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs yolks, one at a time.
Step 3
Whip egg whites separately, set aside.
Step 4
Stir in flavorings, mix in appropriately one third of flour mixture alternatively with one third sour cream, repeat until completely mixed. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour batter into greased tube pan. Bake at 350º for one hour and 15 minutes. Cool cake 10 minutes in pan.
Step 5
Blend powdered sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over hot cake.
