For sauce

¼ cupapplesauce

¼ cuponion
diced

3 tablespoonsginger

¼ cupsoy sauce

6garlic cloves
minced

2 tablespoonsgochujang

3 tablespoonshoney

2 tablespoonsrice vinegar
For chicken rub

spray oil

5chicken drumsticks

3 tablespoonskosher salt

¼ teaspoonwhite pepper

⅛ teaspooncracked black pepper

⅛ teaspooncrushed red pepper

1 teaspoongarlic powder

2 teaspoononion powder

½ teaspoonchinese five spice powder

Instructions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients from the sauce list in a tall bowl, process with an immersion blender, or use a countertop blender. Blend until smooth.









Step 2
Combine the herbs and spices from the chicken rub. Use an old spice jar to sprinkle mix over drumsticks/ save for a future date.







Step 3
Lightly sprinkle mix over chicken while air fryer reaches 400° (cooking time will be 18 minutes)

Step 4
Spray basket with oil and place chicken in basket for 18 min, flipping half way through (9 minutes)

Step 5
Dip Cooked chicken in the sauce made in step 1, and cook for an additional 2 min at 400° in air fryer
