Italian Pork Chops

This Italian Pork Chop recipe is a great way to add a delicious Italian twist to your dinner table. The combination of garlic, oregano, and Parmesan cheese creates a flavorful and savory dish that will have your family asking for more. The best part is that it only takes about 30 minutes to make, so it's perfect for busy weeknights. I first tried this recipe when I was visiting my Italian grandmother in Rome. She served it with a side of roasted potatoes and a glass of red wine. I was so impressed with how quickly she was able to make such a delicious meal. I knew I had to recreate it for my own family.

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl or resealable plastic bag, combine the Italian dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
Step 2
Add the pork chops to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
Step 3
Remove the pork chops from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
Step 4
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated pork chops to the skillet.
Step 5
Cook the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
Step 6
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and transfer them to a serving plate. Allow them to rest for a few minutes.
