Instructions

Step 1
Add your oats to a medium-low heat pot along with a pinch of salt and your spices of choice.
Step 2
Toast for about 2 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Start by adding half of your liquid and mixing it with the oats. Now, for 5-10 minutes, keep gradually adding small amounts of liquid while contantly stirring. This will result in a creamy consistency. Think of it like a risotto.
Step 4
When your desired consistency is reached, add an extra splash of oat milk and stir it ion. Turn the heat to low and add brown sugar and orange zest to taste.
Step 5
Mix and serve in a bowl topped with yogurt, banana, berries, almonds, and any of your favorite toppings.
