For the Teriyaki Sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients for the Teriyaki Sauce together, and marinate the Salmon Fillets for at least 15 minutes
Step 2
Add the rice to a saucepan, and add water in a 1:2 ratio, rice:water. So 600ml of water. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a low heat for 10mins with the lid on.
Step 3
Chop the carrots and green veg. Put the carrots in a saucepan and add boiling water. Put the green veg in a perforated pan on top of the carrot pan (a steamer). if there is no steamer, just put the broccoli in the water 3 mins after the carrots. Bring to the boil and cook on a medium heat for 5-6 mins. check if veg are done by tasting
Step 4
Put the marinated salmon in a pan skin side up. Put in the oven at 180° or under a grill for 7-8 mins (if Fillets are thick cook for a little longer. Salmon should be pale pink all the way through but don't overcook.)
