Salmon Inspired Tofu

This recipe is without a doubt the closest thing I have tasted to the real deal. So much so that I only had a couple bites before I felt weird about it. I paired it with this lemon thyme forbidden rice, carrot ginger puree, shallot petals and asparagus.

Ingredients

Marinade for the Tofu

1 blocktofu
pressed for 15 min

1 cupmiso broth

1 sheetnori
toasted and crumpled

3 Tbspapple cider vinegar

2 Tbspminced garlic

2 TspTumeric Powder

Cornstarch
enough "

flour
to cover your two "salmons

2 piecesnori
the size of your "salmon"
Crispy nori "salmon" skin
Instructions
Step 1
Marinate your tofu for at least an hour, if possible over night.
Step 2
Take your tofu's from the marinade and coat them well in your corn starch and flour mixture.
Step 3
Dip your nori sheets in the marinade and lay it over the "salmons" to act as a "skin". The real cherry on top is the crispy layer thats made by dunking the rice paper in the marinade till soft and laying it over the "salmon".
Step 4
Sear your "salmons" on all sides till desired doneness.
