Instructions

Step 1
We wash the beans well and soak them in cold water with sodium bicarbonate to get rid of impurities.
Step 2
We leave the beans soaked in water for a full night with changing the water after the first 5 hours.
Step 3
After a full night has passed, we discard the soaking water and wash the beans well to get rid of sodium bicarbonate.
Step 4
We put the beans in a saucepan on the medium heat and cover it with water, and when it boils cover the pot and reduce the heat for an hour or until the beans are soft.
Step 5
Pour the beans into the serving plate, sprinkle the cumin and add the lemon slices around it or as you desire.
Step 6
Sprinkle the salt & chili pepper at the top of the beans.
Step 7
As a traditional way to eat it, You may pick it with toothpicks instead of forks.
Step 8
It’s suitable to eat while enjoying a Chilled bottle of beer.
Step 9
For preparing the broth along with the beans, you add lemon juice, salt and cumin as well, and serve it in a small bowel hot or warm.
