Ingredients
6 servings
½ cupgreen lentils
can be substituted with brown lentil
200gCanned chickpeas
800gRed Kidney beans
Canned
400gCanned White beans
¼ cupbulgur
fine, brown
6 cupswater
Boiled
1onion
medium sized, chopped into small pieces
6 piecesShallots
or small onion
½ teaspoonGround Cumin
½ teaspoonAll spice
3 tablespoonOlive oil
Salt
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
We wash the bulgur, chickpea and all beans and dry them.
Step 2
Sauté the chopped onion with 2 tablespoon of oil over a medium heat until becomes golden, then add the lentils and spices to it and stir the mixture for 1 minute, then pour the boiling water on the mixture, cover it and leave it for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add the beans, chickpea, bulgur & the shallots to it, and let it boil over a low heat until the sauce thickens, about 30 minutes.
Step 4
Add a tablespoon of olive oil, stir it and pour it in serving plate.
