Instructions
Step 1
1. Heat oil in large heavy based saucepan. Add garlic, onion, carrots and leeks and cover to cook gently for 10mins.
Step 2
2. Pour in the pearl barley and stock and bring to the boil and cook for 1hr then add the chicken for the last 10mins.
Step 3
3. Stir in the cream, mustard and tarragon. Cook for 5minsor until the chicken is cooked through then season with salt and pepper.
