Instructions

Step 1
heat the milk and butter together in a small saucepan over a medium heat and just until the butter has melted
Step 2
put the flour and salt in a large bowl and mix together, then pour in the warm milk and butter
Step 3
mix to bring together into a rough dough
Step 4
dust your countertop with a little flour, then tip out the dough and knead for 3 to 4 minutes
Step 5
wrap in cling film and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes
Step 6
divide the dough into six balls and dust the countertop with flour again as well as a rolling pin
Step 7
roll each of the balls into sn oval-shaped flatbread
Step 8
heat the rapeseed oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat
Step 9
working in batches, add one or two to the pan at a time and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes on each side
Step 10
once cooked, keep them wrapped in a clean tea towel
Step 11
brush the flatbread with a little olive oil and serve warm
